Here are links to some of the webcomics I personally read:

Bittersweet Candy Bowl

Taeshi’s BCB is a both lovely and heart-wrenching slice-of-life story of teenage anthropomorphic animals, with both very light and surprisingly dark themes. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it for the well constructed and presented characters and the strong character development. And maybe a bit because of the intense shipping. Just maybe.

Housepets!

Rick Griffin’s Housepets! is a somewhat light-hearted slice-of-life comic of common household pets, that just so happen to possess intelligence on the level of humans. What do they use this great power for? Pretty much the same as we regular humans do, namely getting into all kinds of weird shenanigans. Housepets! has a coherent, interesting plot behind it all but still takes itself lightly enough to poke fun at itself and generally be warm and approachable.

Darths & Droids

Darths & Droids by Andrew Coker, Andrew Shellshear, David Karlov, David McLeish, David Morgan-Mar and Steven Irrgang is an RPG screencap comic inspired by “DM of the Rings” by Shamus Young, D&D explores the possibility of what if Star Wars had never been made, and would now be played as a tabletop RPG campaign by players. With a lot of jokes and some surprising character development, D&D is a must-read for any fan of parodies.

Prequel -or- Making A Cat Cry: The Adventure

Prequel by Kazerad is a MS Paint -styled comic set in the world of Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, with an unfortunate young Khajiit lady who is trying to rebuild her life anew. Prequel boasts a rather (as the name suggests) dark-themed adventure, but that only makes the eventual rays of hope even more satisfying. Also website witchcrafts and flash minigames. AWESOME!

Romantically Apocalyptic

Romantically Apocalyptic by Vitaly S Alexius is a morbidly humorous story set in post-apocalyptic Earth with an ever increasing amount of fascinating background into how everything went to hell and also an ever increasing amount of Zee Captein’s insanity that slowly begins to border on sanity. RA is not only humorous in all the right ways, it also has amazing visuals and is definitely worth a read, even if to just stare at those amazing backgrounds for hours on end.

Will Save World for Gold

Aaron Lupton’s, a.k.a. LoneStarNorth’s webcomic Will Save World for Gold is a fun story with tabletop RPG-esque characters who set out to do what every tabletop RPG party sets out to do: heroic things. And they achieve exactly what every tabletop RPG party achieves: total and utter chaos. While poking a little fun at tabletop RPG’s (especially 4th ed. D&D), WSWFG reminds us all what is really important in any tabletop game: having fun.

TwoKinds

Tom Fischbach’s TwoKinds is an engaging story about a blue-haired young man who’s lost his memory and finds himself in the middle of the woods, not knowing why, and sets out to put his past back together piece by piece. TwoKinds is an enjoyable reading experience for any fan of fantasy, and on top of having good visuals and pleasant colouring, it holds a quite intricate social system between the different races and a very tangible world, that is sure to immerse the reader.
